FPMiner is a professional software tool to process high-throughput capillary
fingerprinting data for physical mapping or genomic research projects. FPMiner
provides proprietary algorithms to size DNA fragments of capillary fingerprinting
samples, automatically identify and remove undesired fragments, check some
fingeprinting errors (like plate orientation errors), screen and remove
cross-contaminations and chloroplast (for plant) and mitochondrial DNA
contaminations, and finally export sized fragment data for further genotyping,
fingerprint analysis and contig assembly. Quality control system facilitates users to
evaluate the accuracy and the quality of capillary runs and fingerprint editing quickly.
FPMiner supports both built-in databases and external MySQL databases, and can
process large number of samples in a project. FPMiner can run on different
platforms, such as Windows (95/98/2000/XP/NT, etc.), Unix/Linux and Mac OS X, and
any other systems that can run Java applications.

TargetMiner 1.1
A real-time gene target mining tool for identifying novel drug targets
Identifying novel target genes is an initial key step to develop an effective therapy for a
disease. New genes or functions of known genes related to diseases may be
described somewhere in thousands of research articles published
everyday.TargetMiner, a bioinformatics software system that aims to help scientists to
follow, in real time, the latest published studies around their existing targets and to
search an ever increasing amount of published literature for novel drug targets of a
particular disease. TargetMiner has implemented an advanced proprietary algorithm
that can quickly query, in the fashion of real-time, PubMed database for genes that
have been reported to be relevant to a particular disease. Thus, it is the only software
that can complement the continuous search by scientists in pharmaceutical
companies for novel targets emanating from descriptions in the literature. The current
release of TargetMiner provides three analytical tools, including pathways, functional
categorization using gene ontology (GO) and orthologous genes, which help scientists
to rationalize and prioritize potentially novel targets for a particular disease. More
analytical tools will be implemented in future releases.

FPPipeliner 3.0
A high- throughput tool to help FPMiner, GeneMapper and Peak Scanner
software (Applied Biosystems) to call DNA fragment sizes and export the
sized fragment data to files
FPPipeliner is a software tool to help FPMiner, GeneMapper and Peak Scanner
software (Applied Biosystems) to call fragment size and export the fragment data to
flat files in high-throughput manner. FPMiner, GeneMapper and Peak Scanner
software provides fragment sizing functions and exportation of fragment size data
including peak size, data point, area, height etc. Because of limitations in number of
samples allowed in each project, sample input method and size fragment exportation
to files, it’s not convenient to process a large number of samples in one project and
export the sized fragment data to the files. For example, most physical mapping
projects will fingerprint hundreds of thousands of BAC clones. It’s not easy to import
all sample files into one or few projects in GeneMapper software. It's also difficult to
export all sized fragments data to files from one or few projects. FPPipeliner provides
an ease-to-use user interface to facilitate users to set up the necessary parameters
for FPMiner, GeneMapper and Peak Scanner software and specify the directories
containing sample files and the directory for exporting the processed fragment data.
