Description:

- FPPipeliner is a software tool to help FPMiner, GeneMapper
and Peak Scanner software (Applied Biosystems) to size
fragments and export the sized fragment data to flat files in a
high-throughput manner.
- FPPipeliner software uses the command line functions that
FPMiner, GeneMapper and Peak Scanner software provides
and makes a pipeline using FPMiner, GeneMapper or Peak
Scanner software to process large number of raw sample
files and export sized fragment data to the flat text files that
can be used in the downstream software FPMiner
(BioinforSoft), and other third-party software such as
GenoProfler (You et al. 2004).
- FPPipeliner has an ease-to-use user interface to facilitate the
necessary parameter settings for FPMiner, GeneMapper and
Peak Scanner software and specify the directories containing
sample files and the directory for exporting the processed
fragment data.

Key Features:

- Support the FPMiner 1.4 or above, GeneMapper version 3.5
or above, Peak Scanner 1.0.
- Automate FPMiner, GeneMapper or Peak Scanner's
processes of creating project, size-calling, and exporting
sized fragment data.
- Add sample files from a directory and its subdirectories (any
level) into GeneMapper recursively and automatically.
- Export sized fragment data files with extension ".gm", ".dat" or
".txt". Each exported data file contains sized fragment data of
samples corresponding to a source directory or subdirectory
in which samples are located.
- Exported fragment data files are compatible to FPMiner
software or other third-party software such as GenoProfiler
(You et al. 2004) for fingerprint editing or genotyping.

Requirements

- Windows operating systems
- Java running environment: J2SE(or JRE)1.4.2 or above.
- GeneMapper software (Applied Biosystems).

Installation:
|
- Java running environment installation: because FP Pipeliner
installer has a bundle with JRE1.4.2, it's unnecessary to
install Java running environment in advance.
- FPPipeliner installation:
- Download FPPipeliner software.
- Double-click FPPipeliner installer program (self-
extracted executable file) and just follow instructions
to install the software.
